I followed interfaSys's directions in this thread. I started by downloading the latest official Linux release here: If I can get some help, I'll do a full write up to document the process. I'm also a Linux novice which doesn't help. I got UMS running on the NAS and available on the PS3, but I'm having some major issues. If anyone has a different MKV solution on the QNAP, I'd also be interested. I've been using UMS on a PC for years (PMS before that), and it would be awesome to migrate this to the Turbo NAS. And, while MKV isn't perfect, it's become a really popular format (I have a lot of video that I really don't want to transcode to another format). I've tried the native DLNA Media Server, Twonky, and Servii, and I've found that a good percentage of MKV's come up as "Data Corrupted" on my PS3. Update typescript-eslint monorepo to v5.46.I'm also really interested in trying to get Universal Media Server (UMS) working on my QNAP TS-453.Update Mantine monorepo packages to v5.8.4.Update dependency tabler-icons-react to v1.56.0.Update dependency react-router-dom to v6.4.5.Update dependency :checkstyle to v10.5.0.Update dependency :oshi-core to v6.4.0.Avoid re-encoding x265 needlessly on LG OLEDs.Fixed support for DTS on LG OLED models newer than 2019.Let LG TVs use their built-in resume only.Spanish (88%) (thanks, edwardalvarez2011!).Portuguese (Brazilian) (94%) (thanks, Sandro Almeida!).Portuguese (100%) (thanks, mariopinto!). Made tests run faster on GitHub Actions.Fixed quickrun scripts not copying some files for development.Fixed tsMuxeR deferral for certain files.Fixed setting monitored and active states for shared content via old settings.Fixed audio not playing in web player (#3130).Fixed not muxing H.264 via MEncoder when possible.Fixed ordering of TV series episodes in Media Library.Fixed admin account when no auth is enabled.Fixed web player server failure to start.Fixed adding folders via old interface (#3726) (Thanks for reporting, infectormp!).Removed minimize Java GUI setting from web interface.Improved compatibility of H.264 transcoded stream via MEncoder.Improved quality of 2D-to-3D conversion (thanks, threedguru!).Added button to TMDB and IMDb on web player.Added Tagline, Rated, Year Started, and Total Seasons on web player.Added language support for API metadata. He has done a blog post to explain how it works in detail. This release is all about 3D and virtual reality, thanks to contributions by threedguru. It is powered by MEncoder, FFmpeg, tsMuxeR, AviSynth, MediaInfo, VLC and more, which combine to offer support for a wide range of media formats. The program streams or transcodes many different media formats with little or no configuration. Universal Media Server supports all major operating systems, with versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
